The Hickory Christian Knights traveled to Salisbury to take on North Hills Christian on Thursday and they put on a hitting show.  The Knights defeated North Hills by the final score of 18 -1 in 3 innings.   The Knights batted around the order in the top of the first to jump out to an 8 to 0 lead.  In the bottom of the 1st, Nick White sat down North Hills with 3 straight outs.  In the second inning the Knights batted around the order once again and scored another 8 runs.  Andy Cook came in to pitch in the 2nd inning and walked 2 and struck out 3  leaving runners on 2nd and 3rd.  The Knights added 2 more runs in the 3rd inning and ran their lead up to 18-0.  North Hills scored 1 run in the bottom of the 3rd for their only run.  The game was called after the 3rd inning.

Nick White got the win.  He allowed no runs, no hits, and struck out 1.  Andy Cook came in for relief and allowed 1 unearned  run on no hits.  He struck out 6 batters.

At the plate Lance Cook was 3 for 4 with 2 triples, 1 run, and 2 RBIs with one of the triples being a line drive off the fence.  Marshall Byrd was 2 for 2 with a double and 3 RBIs.  As a team they had 14 hits and a team batting average of 0.538.
