KNIGHTS TAKE A 10-0 VICTORY OVER VICTORY CHRISTIAN: 10-0-1 Overall, 5-0 Southern Piedmont Athletic Association (SPAA) 

CHARLOTTE, NC- Today was a different kind of day for the Knights. We will cover that later in the recap but first let's cover the game stats.

Junior Gabe Walker once again led the Knights offensive attack, scoring four goals in the contest. Tommy McGrath exercised his new slogan; PLACEMENT OVER POWER, meaning more finesse around the goal that leads to more goals scored. The result...two goals for the senior captain. Freshman Wyatt King scored goal at the 10 minute mark, freshman Garrison Mullis at the 20 minute mark. Senior Dixon O'Hair, a stellar performer all season for the Knights, hit the back of the net for goal at the 24 minute mark. Junior Owen Duncan came out of his normal goalie position and hit goal at the 31 minute mark off a well placed corner kick by Tommy McGrath.

The Knights ten goals were accompanied by some well placed assists. Providing the assists were Gabe Walker (3),Tommy McGrath (2), Luke Ikerd (1), Braden Runyon (1), Wyatt King (1) and Garrison Mullis (1).

One of the best moments of the evening was the presentation of the Knights Battle Ball, a HCA tradition that recognizes the player with he best effort, best attitude, etc. Except this time it did not go to a player. In a twist of tradition the Knights players, led by senior captain Eli Simon presented the Battle Ball to their head ball coach...Coach Josh Walker. The kids showed their respect and admiration for their coach, a well deserved reward for his hard work and dedication not only making them better on the field but off the field as well. Next up for the Knights this weekend is their annual High School Retreat at Lookout Lodge. Please pray daily for this retreat, that hearts are open and minds are clear, that God's word is received by these young men and women.
