The Catawba Valley Christmas Tournament kicked off at Hickory Christian Academy on December 20. The first men’s game had Hickory Christian taking on Tabernacle Christian. HCA won the first quarter by 7, the second quarter by 2, the third quarter by 4, and the fourth by 3. The final score was 40-56. Scoring leaders for the Knights were junior forward, Andy Cook and senior guard, Eli Sigmon. Cook scored 23 points and Sigmon 13. The second game featured University Christian High School versus Tri-City Christian with Tri-City getting the win. HCA will play Tri-City tonight at 7:30 for the championship at Hickory Christian Academy.
