The HCA MS Girls Blue team finished off their regular season with a 20-12 win over Salisbury Academy and a 38-12 victory over Concordia. The entire team contributed to the great offensive and defensive efforts, and team will receive a bye into the semi finals of the tournament the coming Saturday at Sacred Heart. Pray the girls are safe, represent Christ and HCA well, and that we finish strong!  The team is 12-0!  Both coaches are extremely proud of these girls and their parents for the hard work this season. 

The HCA MS Girls team so all players get plenty of action against Tri-City with a 24-13 win, and continue their streak to 9-0!  Coach McMurray tried different player combinations to give our Knights more experience as we approach the tournament in 2 weeks. Players continue to learn, and this was evident with their fast break passing and pressing defense. Next up is North Hills Christian on Thursday at home.  

The MS girls kept their momentum going with a 20-6 victory at home against Sacred Heart. After a fast start of 6-0, Sacred Heart called a timeout to change their defense to a man to man with a full court press. HCA got some good practice against the new defense, and got several layups to take a 16-4 halftime lead. In the 2nd half, the Knights got to play everyone on the roster, which is continuing to build their experience.  The team is still learning, and setting short term goals to keep the season fun, while raising the bar along the way. 

It's fun to see a TEAM that loves to play together, and learn the game!  The stifling defensive effort against SCA last Thursday gave the team many fast break opportunities, and allowed the team to ultimately win 34-8.  This team continues to improve in passing, dribbling, defense, and shooting.  God gets all the glory for the 7-0 start.  If you're looking for a FUN afternoon, come see these girls in action.  

The MS Blue girls team completed their first 1/2 of the season with a 17-12 victory over Concordia.  The team is 6-0 on the season, but team members still see many areas that they can improve for the second half of the season.  This game allowed everyone ample playing time, which will help the team as the season goes longer, and the competition gets tougher.  

The MS Blue girls team is off to a fast start at 5-0 at the Christmas break!  The team is made up of 5 girls that returned from last season that are paired with 6 girls new to HCA Basketball, but eager to win.  The team is having fun, playing together as a TEAM, learning offensive and defensive techniques, while reading the other teams' plays.  Scoring has been spread across the line-up, with scores steadily increasing throughout the season.  At the same time, the team is focused on holding our opponents to low percentage shots. 

This year, we want to honor God with our actions and skills while edifying each other in the process.  No matter the outcome of the season, this year will be a season to remember for these young ladies!  Come and see them play.  I'm sure you'll have a blast watching ole' school back door cuts, and "give and go" passing!
