Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball

Coach Blackburn has been a volleyball coach at Hickory Christian Academy for the past 8 years.  He has coached at all levels of volleyball within the school and is currently serving as the head coach for the varsity team.  He also coaches with Carolina Select Volleyball Club during the school off-seasons and will be starting his 6th season of club coaching this year.  Coach Blackburn embraces the coaching philosophy taught by Gold Medal Squared, "the collaborative [training] effort of some of our country's most successful and experienced coaches." (goldmedalsquared.com)  He has attended multiple coaching clinics led by GMS coaches, and during his tenure, HCA has hosted GMS player clinics each summer.

In his three years of coaching varsity at HCA, Coach Blackburn has led the team to a 59-12 record with 2 SPAA Conference wins and a NCISAA State Runner-up.
