Hickory Christian Academy’s men’s varsity basketball team took on Statesville Christian on Friday evening. This was also senior night for HCA. Seniors were recognized in swimming, cheerleading, and basketball. The varsity basketball team celebrated five seniors: Guard, Eli Sigmon; guard, Jack Mackie; guard, Aiden Smith; guard/forward, Tommy McGrath; and forward, Timothy Tysinger. Eli Sigmon led the seniors and the Knights with 17 points. Sigmon added two rebounds, four deflections, and three steals. Aiden Smith added one point, five rebounds, and one deflection. Tommy McGrath added five points, six rebounds, and one deflection. Jack Mackie provided an assist and Timothy Tysinger did not play due to illness. The Knights lost the game to Statesville 41 - 64.
