STATE 1A NCISAA CROSS COUNTRY MEET:

Congratulations to the Boys' team for their Runner Up finish at the state meet!  Robbie Irlbeck finished 4 overall followed by Timothy Tysinger who placed 6th overall.  Both boys received All State Honors.  Spencer Burton was the Knights 3rd scoring runner followed closely behind by Issac Irlbec.  Only .4 of a second separated their finish.  Davis Morrision, Trey Moretz and Henry Stout finished out the field for the Knights.

The Girls' team made race and charged toward 2nd place in the girls race finishing 4th but only 5 points behind the 2nd place finisher. Congratulations to  Emily Frye and Emma Lail received All State honors with a 4 and 5 place finish respectively!  Kaylee Morissette and Brynn Runyon finished out the for the girls' team respectively.

Congratulations to Emily Frye, Robbie Irlbeck and Tim Tysinger for achieving Cross Country All Conference honors at the SPAA Conference Championship meet yesterday.  All three busted prs yesterday:  Robbie @ 18:03, Tim @ 18:59 and Emily @ 22:29.

Also posting personal best were:  Issac Irlbeck @21:03, Henry Stout @21:14.  Rounding out the field of runners for HCA were Spencer Burton, Emma Lail, Kaylee Morissette and Brynn Runyun.

United Way Cross Country Meet, SouthSide park

The team performed well today after racing Monday.  With only one day recovery most ran close to their personal best with 3 prs:  Emily Frye @ 22:52, Robbie Irlbeck @ 18:23 and Tim Tysinger @ 19:07.  We had one overall winner in the girls developmental race with Emily Frye the 1st place winner!  Congratulations!

Conference meet at South Side: Boys placed 3/4 and girls 4/4.

Tim Tysinger crushed his old personal best of 20:23 by 1:15 and ran 19:01.  Spencer Burton knocked 51 seconds off his pb 22:02 and ran 21:11.  Trey Moretz  whacked off 50 seconds off his pb of 22:51 to 22:01.  Issac Irlbeck shaved off 46 seconds off his pb of 22:11 to 21:25.  Henry Stout joined his teamates by shaving 34 seconds of his pb of 22:56 and ran 22:22.

Davis Morrison and Brynn Runyun ran seasonal bests at 21:41 and 27:14 respectively. Emma Lail and Kaylee Morissette rounded out the field for the girls.

Catawba Valley Cross Country Championship:

HIGHLIGHTS!  NEW PRS. Congratulations to:  Hayden Conner 22:32 to 22:15, Trey Moretz with a big cut at 24:31 to 22:51, Henry Stout also sliced a big chuck off at 25:06 to 22:56.  On the girls side Kaylee Morissette cut a whopping 2:32 minutes of at 29:47 to 27:15

Also running for the boys were Robbie Irlbeck, Spencer Burton, Issac Irlbeck, and Tim Tysinger.

Runner for the girls along with Kaylee were Emily Frye, Emma Lail and Brynn Runyon.

Another highlight team was was the boys defeated F.T. Foard.  Congratulations

Providence meet at McAlpine Park in Charlotte:

No team scores available yet, but the kids ran well.  4 personal bests were set:

Robbie Irlbeck fm 19:11 to 18:31; Timothy Tysinger fm 20:31 to 20:23, Spencer Burton 23:07 to 22:02; Issac Irlbeck 24:11 to 22:11; Davis Morrison hit a seasonal personal best at 20;23 followed by Trey Moretz @24:31.  Emma Lail and Brynn Runyon ran for the girls @ 26:34 and 29:49 respectively.  Next race is at Murray' Mill Tuesday.  Emma And Brynn also hit seasonal PRs.  CONGRATULATIONS!!
